Why I Dumped my PhD Program at Drew University

First my blog writing was CENSORED. I was coerced, by my supervisor, into writing under a pseudonym — something I swore I’d never do. So, I wrote fiction and fantasy — a la Vonnegut and Bukowski — and posted under the cartoon name Tom Hardie.

So then I was summoned by the Dean of Students and accused of sexual harassment. There was an “anonymous email,” of course , and he waved the Tom Hardie blog in my face, of course.

I was quietly removed from the Drew University Writing Faculty the next semester. They chose not to rehire me. This is how Higher Education is managed in the United States. Google: “Adjunct Professor” + “Wage Slave.”

And now I’ve been BANNED from the Drew University campus for Tweeting about all of this. And I’m one of their PhD candidates…

But trust me, not anymore. This blog post has officially killed my academic career.

I don’t want my job back. I don’t want to be allowed back on  their campus. I  really don’t want their PhD. And I don’t want money.

I just want people to know what Drew University did/is doing to me. I want witnesses. I want to make some American History just by telling my story.

P.S. Just a final point to ponder: if they did this to me, imagine what they do to their undergrads.
