Intolerable: a poetic microblog

—intolerable waking in the night—fear on my skin—glaze of sweat—shooting pain to the neck—I hate myself—roll on my side—cry—realize in my joints—I’ve punished myself to seek—seek—seek—and never once satisfied—never to arrive—to find—and like the good Zen boys who desire no desire—I will kick myself harder for kicking myself at the start—I will plot to drop perfectionism so that I might become perfect—with practice—with work—with work—with work—my food is the cycle of it all—
